Artist's Comments

When horses were introduced to north America, Native Americans couldn't understand what they were seeing. What were these creatures? Was it a dream? When they understood the value of the horse, how it freed them from the earth and let them fly across the plains, they exulted, and soared like the wind in the heavens. I wanted to convey this idea, this melding of human and horse spirit into one. A dream of rushing air, hair and mane, and freedom.

easilly one of my favorite pieces from you to date... let me just say your work will be in a museum some day!

the almost celtic design here is really neatly incorporated into the very native american theme and perspective... wonderfully executed.
